Fabergén maailma – Fabergés värld (The World of Fabergé)
Fabergén maailma – Fabergés värld (The World of Fabergé) presents the dazzling art of the House of Fabergé, jeweller to the Russian imperial court. Founded in St Petersburg in 1842 by Gustav Fabergé and made world-famous by his son Peter Carl Fabergé, the firm created jewellery, objets d’art, silverware and the legendary imperial Easter eggs for the Romanov family. Many of Fabergé’s finest workmasters were Finnish, which gives his work a special place in Finland’s history.
This book features treasures from the Moscow Kremlin Museums, with the Romanov Tercentenary Egg of 1913 on the cover. Richly illustrated, it offers a fascinating view into the craftsmanship and splendour of the last years of imperial Russia.
