The diverse pieces showcased in the exhibition challenge conventional perceptions of jewelry, suggesting that pieces of jewelry need not be solely practical, simple, or small. Visitor may also ponder whether contemporary jewelry pieces are inherently noteworthy, so-called "statement jewelry". There isn't a universally accepted Finnish equivalent for the English term.

Alvar Aalto, the renowned Finnish architect also known for interior architecture even crafted jewelry, while his close friend, artist Alexander Calder, was known for his mobiles and jewelry art.

Has the time arrived for us to be ready to utilize more striking jewelry as elements of interior design, whether by hanging them on walls or displaying them on shelves? The artists themselves face no predetermined restrictions in their choice of artwork type, materials, or techniques as they communicate with us through their creations.

This latter exhibition of the Art Dual series highlights artists from the gallery's five-year journey since the introduction of jewelry art at the Korkeavuorenkatu exhibition space. In the new, larger space, the pieces and their spectrum can be better showcased, also including interior art and jewelry suitable for interior decoration.
